Student's Parking System 2009-10

Introduction to the System
Over the past years, the parking spaces at University were not structured systematically. Practically anyone could park where they wanted, even if they did not study or work at the University. The lack of an adequate system was risky, especially in light of the opening of Mater Dei Hospital and the people that were going to start utilizing the surrounding area.

KSU had spoken about this situation on various occasions, stressing that the University required a proper structure for parking so as to reduce short-term problems, whilst preparing a long term vision that addressed the challenges that would be brought about by an increase in students attending the University, together with the resulting increase in administrative and academic staff, and their cars.

The radical change in the new parking system on campus has the primary objective of dividing the parking spaces available between all the members of the University.  The structure requires continuous monitoring and refinement in order to facilitate for the needs of all those concerned. For this reason, it is crucial that all students provide their continuous comments and suggestions in order to improve the new parking system.
